The Rumble Pups Bio
The Rumble Pups
formed in 1999 when Harley Beagle was feeling
the frustration of being in the midst of band turmoil. Harley was
a drummer and frustrated guitar player until he discovered the ukulele.
The ukulele fits Harley’s personality, which he describes
as being “…a geek at heart”. The Rumble Pups play
lo-fi, unpolished anti-folk music. They have performed coast to
coast (including the Ukulele Expo for three years), but currently
reside in Las Vegas, NV. where they perform on a semi-regular basis.
The Rumble Pups
are also featured in the ukulele documentary “Rock That Uke,”
which has premiered throughout the world. They have been mentioned
in numerous articles related to “Rock That Uke,” such
as The New York Times, The Onion, and Adrenalin Magazine. “Rock
That Uke” will be available on DVD soon.
The Rumble Pups
have two out-of-print limited CD releases called “Barking
up the Wrong Tree” (2002) and “Live on KFAI” (2003)
and soon to be out-of-print solo limited CD called “Singing
in the Bathtub” (2004). Harley Beagle has just completed his
full length CD “A Dog’s Life” featuring all originals
reflective of the past, present, and future.
